Giving Back to Our Community
At Total Temperature Control, our community comes first. For John, Amele, and the entire team, success means having the opportunity—and responsibility—to give back. From helping neighbors in need…to leading large-scale charitable initiatives…their commitment to service is at the heart of everything they do.
Local Leadership
Better Business Bureau – John has proudly served on the BBB Board of Directors for over 12 years, advocating for consumer protection and contractor integrity
YMCA & Local Schools – Active on both the YMCA board and at the area’s largest vocational high school, John supports education, mentorship, and fundraising efforts for future leaders
Always Helping Neighbors – Whether it’s repairing a heating system, lending an extra hand around their house, or simply listening, John and his team make time for the local residents they serve
Supporting Youth & Sports
Known to many in the Wakefield area simply as “Coach,” John has:
Sponsored and financially supported countless local sports teams, including a special needs baseball league
Volunteered as a coach for baseball, hockey, soccer, and basketball
Mentored young people to become future HVAC leaders
Supported local nonprofit athletic programs, including an ice-skating club
Charitable Initiatives
John, Amele, and the Total Temperature team have led and supported numerous efforts, including:
Ella’s Army (2023) – Founded in honor of John and Amele’s granddaughter, who underwent lifesaving heart surgery, they have raised over $115,500 so far for Boston Children’s Hospital.
Wakefield Food Pantry – donated and installed a new AC unit so the food pantry could use the funds that would be used for their new HVAC to continue their invaluable services, ensuring our community receives the food and support they need.
Leukemia 5K (2012) – Organized a community race that raised $10,000 for the Jimmy Fund
Military Support (2015) – Funded a bracelet initiative to help the family of a veteran recovering from traumatic brain injury
Hurricane Relief (2017 & 2024) – Coordinated one of Massachusetts’ largest relief drives for Hurricane Harvey victims and later joined efforts with the Cherrytree Group to support Hurricane Helene survivors in Asheville, North Carolina. In both cases they collected and transported the generous donations to the respective locations
Annual Support – Regular donations to Make-A-Wish, St. Jude’s, YMCA, foster children pajama drives, animal shelters, and veterans’ organizations
Support local Independence Day parades
Holiday Giving (2019) – Organized gifts, groceries, and financial support for five local families during the holidays
Fundraising Hockey Game – Currently raising money with former Boston Bruins players to honor children lost to cancer
At Total Temperature Control, giving back isn’t an obligation—it’s who we are.
